Renewable Energy At Its Best
The Wind Turbine at the Port Victoria Wind Power Project makes Seychelles a highly sustainable nation.
The project was developed by Masdar and is owned & operated by the Seychelles government. These are located at two different locations and of 750KW each.
Reduced Carbon Emissions
The windfarm displaces about 10000 tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions annually.
Reduced Power Outages
The wind farm helps in to reduce the power outages, thus leading to less dependency on coal based energy.
Electrified Homes & Hotels
The windfarm powers more than 2100 homes and hotels in Seychelles, taking step towards sustainability.
Source of Tourism
The windfarm acts as a source of tourism for Seychelles Govt as travellers can see it as attraction.
